  • Baptism in water illustrates Christ’s burial and resurrection in the same way it illustrates your new life as a believer.

    1 Corinthians 15:3 “Christ died for our sins. He was buried and He rose again.”

    Colossians 2:12 “When you were baptized you were buried with Christ and in baptism you were also raised with Christ.”

    2 Corinthians 5:17 “When anyone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. The old life has passed away and a new life has begun.”

  • Everyone who accepts Jesus as Savior should be baptized.

    Acts 8:12 “Those who believed and accepted His message were baptized.”

  • You should be baptized to follow the example set by Jesus, because Christ commands us to be baptized, and because it demonstrates you are a true believer.

  • Jesus was baptized by immersion and the word “baptize” literally means “dip under water.” Baptism by immersion also symbolizes a burial and resurrection.

  • Because there should be a level of spiritual maturity and understanding before baptism, our practice is to have our children baptized at no younger than 10 years old. This will help ensure their baptism is a spiritual marker in their life that they will remember.
